All Beings Suffer: Guanyin EP 1

Synopsis

The lotus throne remains, but compassion has been replaced by something else. She sits naked upon the gilded, carved pedestal, her sheer veil offering only a symbolic shield. The curves of her breasts, abdomen, and thighs are fully traced in the haze and backlight. Guanyin, who should be gazing downward in humility, now lifts her chin with a look both distant and candid, as if asking: 'All beings suffer, so why do you fear to look upon this body?' The sacred backdrop creates a striking contrast; once the Bodhisattva is stripped of her solemn robes, only the most primal, irresistible desire remains. To dare to look is to fall; to look away is to have already surrendered.
